Rita
Eddy - This year one of my primary concentrations has
been painting barns in our area. I chose to do them in pastels.
It has been interesting to preserve this subject matter as many
barns are quickly disappearing. I continue to be inspired by foreign
travel and the beauty of Susquehanna County which can be viewed
in my art work. These paintings will be part of the Tour as well
as other paintings of landscapes, florals and local historical buildings.
I
am a member of Hill Country Artists, our local Susquehanna County
art group and Endless Mountains Council of the Arts. I actively
display my work in Montrose at the Montrose House, the County
Office Building, and the Pennstar Banks in Montrose and Choconut.
I also display at Sea Hag in Brackney and Pure Pennsylvania in
Great Bend. My works have become part of collections of local
residents as well as in homes across the United States. Greeting
cards created from my paintings extend my art for even more to
enjoy.
This year I will be displaying my art at the Holy Name of Mary
Parish House in Montrose during the Tour with another artist.
This historical building is an ideal setting to come and enjoy
both our art and historical Montrose. On Monday I will be demonstrating
pastels so stop in and see how this type of art is created.
Please feel free to contact me at my home or by e-mail.
