Rita
Eddy - As you travel the roads in Susquehanna County
on the tour you will observe the beauty of our area and what nature
has to offer. Many of the historical barns are disappearing so
this year I have painted several in the region as well as other
places.
I continue to be a student of Sue Hand in Dallas, PA. She inspires
me to paint a variety of subject matter as well as trying different
media and techniques. Pastels, watercolors and acrylic continue
to be my media of choice.
From
my paintings I create a variety of note cards. I continue to use
photography as a basis of inspiration of local and world travels.
In Susquehanna County I am a member of Hill Country Artists,
along with memberships in the Endless Mountain Council of the
Arts and En Plein Air Society. My work can also be seen in Montrose
at the Corner Café, Penn Star Bank, the County Office Building
and Endless Mountains Health Center, as well as at the Northeast
Health Care Centers in Susquehanna and Hallstead, PA. Private
collections locally and throughout the United States contain my
work.
The
Holy Name of Mary Parish Center will be the setting for my show
this year in the heart of historic Montrose. The Harvest Moon
Festival sponsored by the church will also be at the same location
with lots of ethnic food and many activities. On Monday I will
be demonstrating a pastel painting. Paintings are always available
at my home at 18760 State Route 267 North of Lawton.
I can be reached at 570-553-2500 or jirieddy@epix.net.
