Lathrop - I am very excited to be in my own studio
at my home near Elk Lake this year. It is a separate building
overlooking the pond and is a delightful place to work. A group
of artist friends continue to meet and paint together once a week
during the spring, summer and fall; a time for work, critique
and exchange of art news and ideas. My membership in Hill Country
Artists continues to educate and inspire me.
As
usual, I traveled the southern states during the winter and added
to my travel paintings. I am working on a painting from every
state and several from other countries where I have visited. I
continue to enjoy painting nature in landscapes, florals, and
animals and am adding figures to some works. A workshop in Nova
Scotia last fall inspired me to do more loose, plein aire paintings.
The process of learning is always an adventure! Please visit me
in my studio in the rural countryside of beautiful Susquehanna
County.
