Earl
W. Lehman is returning to Susquehanna County after living
for ten years in Lackawanna County. The studio you will see if you
visit him in October needs to be built! To save money, he plans
to do most, if not all of the work himself. The foundation is already
in place, locked into a hill. His current studio is in Jessup and
if you wish, you may visit him now at that location before the tour.
There is much to see. Feel free to email or call him directly. Proceeds
from any sales will go directly into construction of the new studio/home
in Susquehanna County. He could certainly use the help.
Both
the landscape paintings and the more abstract images he's been
making for years reflect a passion for home, in his case, earth,
and an equally intimate connection to humanity and the culture
we have inadvertently caused to materialize. He's spent his entire
life developing a voice to express these things. The resulting
art will fall on your eye and either resonate with the clarity
of a tuned bell, as he hopes, or will fail to impress. Either
way, his efforts have been completely honest.
Studio
hours are by appointment year round. Please call 570.881.3438
