Tom Richie - My love of wood has provided me with many satisfying hours of enjoyment and relaxation. I am self taught and my goal is to deliver to others the beauty that lies within a piece of wood that has been carved, textured and painted into the realistic life of nature.

Each carving is created within my mind before a knife is applied to a piece of wood. Nature being one of my greatest allies is always displayed before in its true and natural colors.

My work consists of decorative decoys, working class decoys, shorebirds and a variety of song birds.

My work has been featured on "Pennsylvania on the Road". I have been featured carver at many competitions including ducks unlimited. Many awards from different competitions throughout New York and Pennsyvania and the worlds in Maryland.
