Carol
Angela Brown - Tea Time Art Studio
Carol grew up in North Jersey and is now living in Montrose, Pa.
Carol has recently moved her studio to Route 29 in Dimock, south
of Montrose, Pa. She received her art training from her Great-Aunt
Lena Egg who was an outstanding artist. Carol has been a participant
in the Susquehanna County Artist Open House Tour, Columbus Day
weekend since its inception 11 years ago.
Inspiration
for the majority of her subject matter springs from things that
have shaped the past; old photos, post cards and newspapers. Intrigued
by history, she hopes her paintings can stir peoples' memories.
"I am fortunate to be able to devote my time doing something
that gives me great pleasure."
Carol
was invited to the White House in December of 2008 as her ornament
of the Nicholson Viaduct adorned the White House Christmas tree.
When the First Lady, Laura Bush, took the time to speak about
only three of the 370 ornaments, Carol said…
"She was so gracious. I was standing just a couple of feet
from her and I was floored when she mentioned me! The other artists
gasped and congratulated me afterwards."
Her Tea-Time Studio features her original oil paintings, limited
edition prints and porcelain china. Each piece of china is meticulously
handpainted, kiln-fired and signed.
Friends and visitors are invited to drop by the studio when the
candles are lit or by appointment: (570) 278-9642
