Lourdes Schaffroth- number 10 on the tour- is a prolific artist that is always challenging herself with new styles, new mediums and varied subjects. She has recently undertaken to paint in soft pastels and acrylic gouache. She is known for her bright colors and textured style.
Come visit her studio in Lanesboro during the tour, for a leisurely look at her paintings in oils and acrylics of the beautiful old rustic barns and landscapes of Northeast Pennsylvania. Many are framed in old barn siding. Peruse her website at bylourdes.net, to see a larger representation of her work that has already sold and is for sale. See her three paintings being displayed at the Harford Fair.
Lourdes also accepts consignments from clients that request a “house portrait” of their country home to take back with them, at the end of the season. You can send her your pictures, or she will take her own to refer to as she paints to your requested size.
All visits (except for the tour) to her studio are by appointment. Any questions, please call (570) 996-7681 or email her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Look for the tour brochures and posters distributed all over Susquehanna County. Be sure to get your Treasure Hunt sheet stamped as you visit the artists to be eligible to win a valuable prize from your artist of choice.
Come, enjoy the countryside, the fall weather and best of all- the artwork.
