Alford Wayman

For the past seven years, I have been creating wheel-thrown functional pottery, exploring different texture patterns, and experimenting with firing techniques to add interest to the pots.  All the pots are glazed in hand-mixed glaze and fired in updraft gas kilns at my studio in Laceyville, PA. I very much enjoy the stories created as the pots are made, and I try to include the community in that process through social media, live-throwing events, and other community-building tools. For the last five years, I have participated in area tours that help promote local area businesses. My goal is to make work that matters for people who care about authentic handmade work and art.
